• Want to buy antiques? Plan ahead. The best way to avoid despair is to know beforehand exactly what you are going for.

If you know exactly what you want, it is better to be well informed beforehand and go with a clear idea, as it is easy to get home with the whole shop except for what you were looking for.

• Patience, good things come to those who wait. Don’t go looking for anything in particular, but rather go on a treasure hunt. The bad thing about shopping – vintage or not – is that you’ll get overwhelmed if you don’t find what you’re looking for. • Don’t rush, ask for all the information. Sometimes when we love something we are blinded by love and we don’t see the reality. Patience, whether you are buying antiques online or at the flea market, check everything and ask questions; it may be that the stain or damage you are seeing is not as easy to remove or fix as you think, if you are not sure, find out beforehand.
