ToggleWhat is a vintage object?
We all have knick-knacks at home, either from our parents or from when we were little, but are they also vintage? We talk about vintage when something is of a certain age (20 years old or more), but not old enough to be considered antique, however, it has been revalued over time and, moreover, serves as inspiration for current styles and trends.
How do you know if an object is vintage or antique?
So, what is considered antique? For something to be considered antique, 3 conditions must be met:
- It must be 100 years old or older.
- Easily identifiable as antique.
- It must not be mass produced. One of the characteristics of an antique object is that it is handmade, it is understood that mass production and production by machinery is not original.
Many surprises are coming soon. If you don’t want us to give you a hard time, keep an eye on Smile’s attic and complete your vintage collection.
